Convenience stores now offering healthier snack choices
With an online community, branded foods in the grocery store, brick-and-mortar locations, branded recipes and a strong, loyal following, it seems Weight Watchers has done it all. The brand recently announced its plan to partner with the popular 7-Eleven convenience store chain to begin selling Weight Watchers branded snacks, a major step in its continued effort to grow its packaged foods line. Those watching their weight will find healthier options for snacking on the go with Weight Watchers' muffins and snack cakes. Just in time for those new years resolutions, consumers will start finding these new snacks after the new year.
Should the new partnership with 7-Eleven, with 7,000 stores strong in the U.S., become a successful one, Weight Watchers plans to extend its packaged food offering in the convenience stores.
The company is of course planning for success, based on the popularity of its branded foods sold in grocery stores and the vast recognition of the brand related to weight loss as a whole. Grocery stores currently sell frozen meals, ice cream, candy and yogurt, and the company plans to add cheeses and cookies. These packaged foods from Weight Watchers are portion conscious and help customers enjoy the foods they love without going overboard.
Dieters often say that giving up their favorite foods or sacrificing delicious foods keep them from meeting their goals. Weight Watchers keeps this key insight in mind and has developed a positive reputation for providing its consumers with recipes and packaged foods that are full of flavor and satisfying. Giving into cravings is the downfall of so many diets- so dieters can rest easy knowing that these snacks are available, in just the right portion size, with all the flavor of their fatty competitors.
All of these foods and snacks are geared to help dieters learn how to properly serve portions and to help them choose foods that aren't as laden in fat, calories and cholesterol. Weight Watchers teaches that no food is off limits. This no-restriction plan is flexible for dieters and keeps them from jumping off the wagon.
Everyone knows its those missed lunches, midday cravings and road trip pit stops that are so troublesome. When you reach the point of hunger pangs, you'll eat whatever you can find. And unfortunately, that often means candy bars, potato chips and fast food. Finding Weight Watchers snacks at the local 7-Eleven and in the aisle of your favorite grocery store offers an opportunity for healthier choices and a greater chance at weight loss success.
